125 Years of the "Palha Blanco" Bullring Celebrated with Exhibition

The Palha Blanco Bullring celebrates 125 years in 2026 with an exhibition installed in the space of the former Redondel restaurant, inside the venue, in Vila Franca de Xira.

The exhibition brings together historical photographs, previously unseen images, old objects, posters and testimonies, proposing a reading of the city's collective memory that crosses the Tagus, the lezíria, the campinos, the Colete Encarnado and other local experiences. Organized jointly by the manager of the Palha Blanco Bullring, by the Câmara Municipal de Vila Franca de Xira and by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila Franca de Xira, the initiative highlights the role of this space in the cultural and social identity of the municipality.

The exhibition can be visited from Thursday to Sunday, with a lunch break, and closes on public holidays. Admission is free.
