34th International Conference GEIG 2026: Ecological Dignity through Law and Governance

The 34th Annual International Conference of the Global Ecological Integrity Group (GEIG), which will take place from 23 to 26 June 2026 at Colégio da Trindade, is organized by the IJ and the Research Groups Ecological Transitions and Vulnerabilities. Partners include the Centre International de Droit Comparé (CIDCE), the UN Global Compact: Portugal, with special emphasis on SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and the Expert Group on Ethics of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law. The conference theme is Ecological Dignity through Law and Governance, through an interdisciplinary and cross-sector perspective. The Scientific Committee is also planning a publication.
