about the event

The 41st Craft and Gastronomy Fair takes over Praça Mouzinho de Albuquerque for ten days, with free admission and an offer split between handicrafts and regional products, dining, and musical entertainment throughout the event.

The program opens with the fair operating from late afternoon and with the concert by Big Band de Riba d’Ave, followed by Costinha. In the following days there are offerings from local groups, concertinas, evenings of popular music, and performances ranging from fado to stage concerts, including Rui Veloso, Toy, and Chico da Tina.

The traditional side returns to the fore with two afternoons of folk music, one on Sunday the 30th and another on Saturday the 5th, and Sunday the 6th closes with the Festival de Cantares ao Desafio, organized by Associação Cantadores e Tocadores ao Desafio Famalicense, before Banda Marcial de Arnoso closes the last day.
