5th Intermunicipal Congress on the Protection of Children and Young People 2026

The 5th Intermunicipal Congress on the Protection of Children and Young People returns in person with two days of debate and exchange around the promotion of the rights and protection of children and young people. The initiative brings together the CPCJ of Esposende, Barcelos, Vila Nova de Famalicão and Vila Verde, with the support of the respective municipalities, and once again gathers contributions from specialists in fields such as Law, Psychology, Medicine, Education and Social Work.

The program includes seven conferences, twelve parallel thematic sessions with innovative formats and five cultural moments, in a gathering open to the community but aimed especially at students and professionals involved in research and intervention with children, young people and families in situations of risk or danger. The organization also highlights the current relevance of the topics under discussion, in the face of family, school, community and digital contexts that are increasingly complex.

Registrations made by 15 September 2026 benefit from a reduced price. The congress has been establishing itself as a regional and national reference space, in an initiative promoted since 2014.
