The Experience

Freely inspired by “Veraneantes” by Maxim Gorky, it uses the same plot: a group of friends spends a few days in the countryside to relax and escape the daily routine tied to work. The more they talk to one another, the more they drink, the more their masks fall away and they reveal themselves as beings deeply bound to one another’s doubts and anxieties: we are all lost souls in search of something that will make us feel complete and, therefore, fulfilled. This is a play about their restlessness and addresses this group of people’s concerns regarding everyday matters, modern times, the so-called new realities. It is a polyphonic experience, where, with rare exceptions, no pauses or silences are recorded.
