At Teatro Carlos Alberto, A morte é o material com que construímos as nossas cidades presents a creation by Renata Portas as part of As Escolas Artísticas no TNSJ 2026. The play starts from ruins, the impulse toward barbarism and the idea of revolution to revisit the French Revolution, the collapse of utopias and texts by Sade, Büchner, Shakespeare and Pasolini.

With direction, dramaturgy and scenography by Renata Portas, the production by ESAP - Escola Superior Artística do Porto combines acting, lighting design, sound, costumes and dramaturgical research, in a work that brings together artistic training and contemporary cultural programming.
