Agniete Lisickinaite / Igor Shugaleev CLAP & SLAP

CLAP & SLAP is a performance by Agniete Lisickinaite and Igor Shugaleev that starts from the political and human tensions felt in Eastern Europe after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. On stage, the two creators confront fear and action, collective and individual responsibility, and the fragile line between self-defense and aggression. The piece also invites reflection on guilt, patriotism, nationalism, personal freedom, and the risk of repeating the violence one intends to fight. The performance is in English, with Portuguese subtitles, and is part of the Clube Espectador on 2 October, moderated by Maria Sequeira Mendes.
