about the event
At MAC/CCB, Ângela Ferreira presents a temporary exhibition bringing together works from the 1990s and more recent pieces, revealing the breadth of her research in installation, video, photography and sculpture. Born in Maputo and trained in Sculpture at the University of Cape Town during apartheid, the artist builds a reflection on facts, infrastructures, figures and architectures linked to colonization. The exhibition also highlights the way her work confronts the persistent effects of colonialism and the responses of resistance to that reality, curated by Nuria Enguita.
