As Ilhas Desconhecidas

"As Ilhas Desconhecidas" is an immersive performance in the form of a scenic poem, based on the work of Raúl Brandão. The creation invites the audience on an Atlantic journey built by five voices and five bodies, combining different modes of narration and evoking the landscapes and peoples of the Azores and Madeira.

The staging and theatrical version are by Sara Gonçalves, with original music by Mário Laginha. On stage are Bruno Huca, Élvio Camacho, Joana Seixas, Sandra Rosado and Sérgio Praia, in a setup that brings together word, performance and music to give Brandão's text a renewed presence.
