Parting from *A Montanha Viva*, by Nan Shepherd, this performance by Maria Gil proposes a reading of the mountain as a place of experience and not as a summit to be conquered. The creation crosses the meditation written by the author about the Cairngorms, in the midst of the Second World War, with a reflection on solace, the strength of untamed regions and the hidden elements of the mountain.
The piece is presented at ZDB 8 Marvila, in Lisbon, with sessions between 16 and 26 September 2026. The advertised duration is 60 minutes, with no interval.
