Atlantique

On the Senegalese coast, Ada lives torn between her love for Souleiman and an already arranged marriage, while he sets off with his colleagues across the sea in search of a better future. The journey triggers mysterious events that span Dakar, the ocean, and the music of Fatima Al Qadiri. The feature debut by Franco-Senegalese filmmaker Mati Diop, starring Mama Sané, Amadou Mbow and Ibrahima Traoré, won the Grand Prix of the Jury in Cannes and is shown with subtitles in Portuguese, English, and for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.
