BURN, BURN, BURN

Created by Os Possessos, with text and staging by Catarina Rôlo Salgueiro and Isabel Costa, this show draws inspiration from *Fahrenheit 451*, by Ray Bradbury, to bring together dystopian fiction and very current concerns. The action takes place in a public library in 2025, where a group gathers in a reading club and sees the discussion escalate until the books are destroyed. Between censorship, polarization, and cancel culture, the play proposes a look at the place of literature, art, and theatre in the face of the desire for control.
