Carlos Bica & Azul — 30 years of Azul

Three decades after the release of *Azul*, Carlos Bica returns to gnration with his longest-running and most recognisable trio. Alongside Frank Möbus and Jim Black, the Portuguese double bassist and composer revisits a formation that remains active and tightly knit, with original repertoire and a sound open to a range of references, from jazz to rock, from pop to traditional music.

The concert marks the 30th anniversary of a decisive album in Bica’s career and in the history of national jazz, in a moment of celebration of the longevity and musical empathy between the three musicians.
