Cavaquinho: between History and Identity – Exhibition Space: Passado, Presente e Futuro

The exhibition "Cavaquinho: entre a história e a identidade" draws on the collection of the luthier António Vieira to look at the history and memory of this instrument, built and played for decades in the municipality of Felgueiras. Throughout the visit, the public encounters examples of cavaquinhos and can observe aspects such as the woods used, the construction methods and the diversity of typologies gathered in this set. Featured is the original felgueirense cavaquinho, presented as one of the central pieces of this temporary show, promoted by the Municipality of Felgueiras to value local craftsmanship. The opening is scheduled for 7 May, at 21:00, in the exhibition space Passado, Presente & Futuro, where the show will remain open to the public until the end of September.
