Barcelos Historic Center Returns to the Middle Ages

Barcelos Medieval takes over the streets and squares for four days, with historical reenactments, nonstop entertainment, music, dance, tournaments, fire shows and immersive experiences. The festival includes the King's Food Square, Moorish Quarter Square, a craft market, civilian and military camps, medieval games, workshops for children, themed exhibitions and falconry. The opening evokes the Carta de Foral Afonsina and the programme features the Parade in Honor of the Founder King, the Horseback Tournament and Malatitsch's fire shows. Admission is free.
