Ciência Viva in Summer

Ciência Viva no Verão brings to Mata de Vilar two proposals for contact with the local biodiversity, designed for those who want to observe, identify and better understand the territory’s fauna. The initiative begins with "Nas pegadas dos mamíferos", a morning activity dedicated to mammal species, their signs of presence and the methods used in inventorying and sampling, ending with the creation of a small artistic piece inspired by what was discovered.

Later, "Blitz das pequenas criaturas!" focuses on the invertebrates that inhabit Mata de Vilar, from insects to spiders and centipedes, in an invitation to observe, identify and discover species. Here too, the experience culminates in an artistic creation made from the biodiversity found, extending the practical and creative dimension of the activity.
