Cinema in the Parishes

From 31 July to 8 August 2026, the municipality of Montijo once again hosts the Cinema nas Freguesias cycle, which turns stairways, bandstands, squares and open plazas into open-air cinemas. The programme brings together four films from Portuguese cinema, with stories ranging from humour to romance, from reunions to intrigue, and also includes a classic that continues to entertain as it did 85 years ago. The initiative is organised by the Câmara Municipal do Montijo and admission is free.
