41st Anniversary Celebrations of Montijo City Day

At the Town Hall, the ceremony of distinction and presentation of the Gold Medals of the Municipality of Montijo marks the 41st Anniversary Celebrations of City Day. It is the highest honorary distinction awarded by the municipality.

In this edition, the Gold Medal of the Municipality will be awarded to Professor Raul da Silva Mendes, in recognition of more than four decades dedicated to teaching, research, and pedagogical innovation. A primary school teacher for 42 years, he developed much of his career in the municipality of Montijo, where he taught at Escola da Atalaia and at Escola Básica n.º 2 do Montijo, now Escola Básica Joaquim de Almeida.
