*Hewa Rwanda, Lettre Aux Absents* is an intimate testimony by Dorcy Rugamba for his children: a first-person account of the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, and of the way that trauma marked his personal and artistic life.
On stage, Dorcy Rugamba performs the piece with Senegalese multi-instrumentalist Majnun, in a setup that brings together words and music. The performance is in French, with Portuguese and English subtitles.
