École des Maîtres 2026

École des Maîtres is an international project of advanced and itinerant theatre training, conceived by Franco Quadri in 1990. In Portugal, it has been co-organised since 2019 by Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente and Teatro Nacional D. Maria II.

This year’s edition takes place with the support of Italy, France and Portugal and proposes encounters between young artists from European theatre schools and internationally renowned directors. The aim is to create a shared working space where methods, artistic practices and creative experiences are exchanged.
