Image Encounters

The 36th edition of Encontros da Imagem starts from Territory and Identity to reflect on the relationship between people, places, and ecosystems, bringing together cultural and philosophical perspectives.

At gnration, the festival presents *The Other Battlefields*, by Laetitia Vançon, curated by Wiktoria Michałkiewicz. The exhibition follows coming of age in Ukraine during wartime through long-term portraits of young Ukrainians, addressing grief, displacement, interrupted futures, and the resilience of a generation trying to preserve dignity and hope.
