Exhibition: Biodiversity of the Algarve

Between 1 July and 16 August, the Antiga Lota de Quarteira hosts the photographic exhibition "A Biodiversidade do Algarve", on display in the side room of the exhibition "Com os Pés na Terra e as Mãos no Mar. 6000 anos de História de Quarteira".

The initiative comes from the 3rd AGIGARVE Photography Contest and brings together 30 finalist photographs selected by the jury. Organized around the themes Fauna, Flora e Fungos and Landscape, the exhibition offers a visual journey through the natural richness of the Algarve, revealing details, settings, and landscapes of the regional ecosystem.

In addition to highlighting local and regional photographic talent, the exhibition also seeks to draw attention to the preservation and conservation of the Algarve’s natural heritage, inviting the public to take in this view of the region’s biodiversity.
