Exhibition "As Ilhas Desconheciadas" – Baltasar Pinheiro

A Oficina d’Angra hosts the exhibition "As Ilhas Desconhecidas" by Baltasar Pinheiro at Casa do Sal, with an opening on 13 August at 18:30. The show brings together sculptural pieces and two video installations, and remains open until 28 August, with visits from Monday to Friday between 16:00 and 18:30.

Baltasar Ornelas Pinheiro, originally from Angra do Heroísmo and born in 1976, develops sculptural work linked to the relationship between human beings and nature, frequently using volcanic stone and wood. The artist began his path at Casa do Sal in 2002, under the guidance of Renato Costa e Silva, attended the School of Arts in Gothenburg, and currently lives in Uppsala. His work has been shown in several exhibitions in the Azores, including "Pedra-Ilha", "Conexão: Raminho–Gävsta" and "Fogo Manso".
