Medieval Fair of Palmela

The 2026 edition of the Palmela Medieval Fair revolves around «Palmela, D. Afonso IV and the Order of Santiago (1340-1348)» and imagines the passage of the king, the queen, and Prince D. Pedro through the town and the castle. The atmosphere brings together nobles, clergy, the freires de Santiago, leading men of the municipality, and the remaining inhabitants, in a festive setting with food, music, games, and other entertainment. The initiative of the Câmara Municipal de Palmela was born in 2014 to value the historical and heritage identity of the territory through a cultural offer linked to local memory.
