Festival of Senhora da Abadia

The Festa Senhora da Abadia brings together in Lijó a religious and popular program that runs from August 6 to 16, with moments of worship, processions, concerts, and evening entertainment. It begins with the start of the novenas in honor of Senhora da Abadia and, in the following days, the bill includes the arrival of Grupo Zés Pereiras da Abadia, the candlelight procession, the performance by the lyric singer João Mendonza, the novena and the arrival of Banda MEGA STAR, followed by XAVIER's performance and the ÁGUAS DANÇANTES show with fireworks. On the 15th, the program focuses on the religious rites, the solemn mass, the arrival of Banda Filarmónica de Ponte de Lima and Fanfarra de Escuteiros de Lijó, the majestic procession, the band concert, the performance by the duo M&M, DJ JOCA VELOSO, and the fireworks session. The final day includes the eucharist and the return of the Imaculado Coração de Maria to its niche in procession, before performances by Rancho Folclórico de Castelo do Neiva and AZEITUNA - Tuna Académica de Braga.
