Festival do Violoncelo Paulo Gaio Lima | OML

The biennial edition of the Paulo Gaio Lima Cello Festival presents two programs at Teatro Tivoli BBVA, both performed by the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra under the direction of Bruno Borralhinho.

On Friday, the spotlight falls on cellist Claudio Bohórquez, in dialogue with works by J. Brahms and Luís de Freitas Branco. On Saturday, the program brings together Luís Freitas da Cruz, José Pereira and Nuno Abreu, in a lineup with pieces by P. I. Tchaikovsky and J. Brahms.

Created to honor the memory of Paulo Gaio Lima, the festival once again places reference cello repertoire in focus.
