Emerge Festival

The Emerge Festival takes over Póvoa Arena for three days, with a programme split between the outdoor and indoor spaces. The opening is dedicated to the Arraial Poveiro, in a spirit of celebration linked to the sea and the city’s identity, and includes DJ music and live performances outdoors.

On August 12, a date associated with International Youth Day, the entertainment also begins outdoors with a DJ and percussion, followed by another DJ before the ÁTOA concert inside the arena. The final day is designed as a “Remember 80’s / 90’s Party”, with several DJs throughout the afternoon and evening, culminating in a performance by DJ Pantaleão / The Fox with VJ/Led Wall.

Throughout the event, the outdoor area also serves as a food court, with a variety of food options including pizzas, crêpes, ice cream, bread with chouriço, vegan and vegetarian options, bifanas, hamburgers, pork sandwich, sliced francesinha, farturas and sangria.
