Gastronomic Weekend

The Gastronomic Weekends of Porto and Northern Portugal propose a table experience that brings together gastronomy, wines and local identity. In this edition in Amarante, the initiative invites visitors to discover the flavors of the territory through offerings that combine tradition and contemporary interpretation.

The menu features a starter of a board of regional cured meats, followed by a main course of roast kid or cod, and ends with sweets such as foguete, brisa do Tâmega, léria, papo d’Anjo and São Gonçalo. These desserts are presented as convent-origin recipes, made with eggs, almonds and plenty of sugar.

The experience involves several participating restaurants in the municipality, strengthening the link between local dining and the promotion of the gastronomy of Porto and Northern Portugal.
