End of Summer

At the end of summer, the air tastes of ripe fruit. The mornings begin to smell of new notebooks. There are trousers that no longer fit and shoes that feel tight after a whole summer of growing. Beach towels slowly disappear and the cicadas fall silent without warning. What remains in the pockets: sand, fruit stones and addresses. It is time to put away the light to light up the small days.
