Ghoya

Ghoya, rapper and cultural activist, appears at Festa do Avante! with a career tied to crioulo rap in Portugal. Originally from Bairro das Fontainhas, in Portas de Benfica, he began recording in 2000 and turned music into a vehicle for identity, resistance, and life in the outskirts. His independent work has influenced names such as Landim and Vado and was recently portrayed in the documentary «Complô», by João Miller Guerra. The performance also reflects his involvement in social projects in Margem Sul and in prisons, in collaboration with the Vida Justa movement.
