about the event
Until the End of the World is a creation by Fernando Mota and Mário Melo Costa, part of Dar a Ouvir, a project co-organized by the Educational Service of Jazz ao Centro Clube (JACC) and Convento São Francisco, of the Coimbra City Council.
The proposal brings science and art together in a research project that confronts geological time and human time, reflecting on the role and relevance of the human species in the history of the Earth. The installation takes the form of a musical performance by Fernando Mota, built with natural materials and with the I Ching as a reference for its structure and instrumentation.
The exhibition can be visited continuously, from Wednesday to Monday, between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., with last admission at 7:30 p.m. It lasts 8 minutes and admission is free.
