Jenny Holzer Exhibition

*Wrong Answers*, at Museu de Serralves, is Jenny Holzer's first solo exhibition in Portugal. The show spans more than forty years of work by the American artist, whose practice transformed language into a visual and public medium through projections on buildings, phrases carved in stone, posters, installations, painting, drawing and electronic media.

The exhibition brings together works ranging from the iconic *Truisms* and *Inflammatory Essays* to pieces on stone benches and sarcophagi, robotic LED panels, human bones and visual documents marked by censorship. In dialogue with a present saturated with images and text, the exhibition highlights how words can expand, lose force or be silenced, between the denunciation of violence and the poetic affirmation of the experience of being alive.

Organized by Fundação de Serralves — Museu de Arte Contemporânea, the exhibition is curated by Philippe Vergne, director of Museu de Serralves, and coordinated by Filipa Loureiro, coordinator of the museum's temporary exhibitions.
