Synopsis

Originating in a mapping of the poetry of the world as a manifesto that is simultaneously human and humanist, Atlas, poetic mapping proposes an encounter between the lived experience of immigration in Portugal and the poetic universe of different places in the world. Our coexistence with immigration in Portugal, in a space of geographical proximity, is mostly represented as a space of distance and unfamiliarity that we want to reduce, bring closer. The working process with the six performers will develop in close connection with sound, gesture, movement and words. — Joana Providência / Teatro do Bolhão
