*Lightness and Darkness* is part of the Companhia Nacional de Bailado’s Cycle of Great Masters and brings together two works separated by more than a century, yet linked by aesthetic and emotional affinities.
The programme combines *Les Sylphides*, by Michel Fokine, with music by Frédéric Chopin, and *The Look*, created by Sharon Eyal in 2019 for the Batsheva Dance Company. The stage interpretation brings together musicality and physicality of movement, around the relationship between light and shadow, lightness and density.
A Solidarity General Rehearsal is also scheduled before the remaining performance sessions, in a calendar that extends over several days.
