Mariofa: Carnival of the Animals

Lempen Puppet Theatre, from the United Kingdom, presents "Mariofa : Carnaval dos Animais", a direct-manipulation puppetry performance that starts from the classic "Carnaval dos Animais" to reinvent it in an original way.

The proposal is inspired by the idea of dissecting parts of the body to create the "ultimate animal", bringing together imagination, puppet theatre and an unconventional reading of the theme. The result is a session designed for those looking for a visual and scenic approach outside the usual, while keeping the recognition of the reference work and giving it a new body and a new language.
