Digital Dark Matter, by Rosemary Lee

*Matéria Escura Digital*, by Rosemary Lee, starts from the hypothesis of the so-called digital dark matter: the barely visible traces left by computer systems, such as ghost pages, little-seen videos and images used in machine learning datasets.

The exhibition proposes a reflection on what remains out of focus in the digital environment and on the way these invisible presences can influence contemporary culture and the very operationalization of vision in the advances of generative artificial intelligence.

On 12 December, Rosemary Lee also presents a masterclass promoted by Circuito, where she shares the research behind the project.
