MOMI MAIGA

Originally from Casamansa, Momi Maiga belongs to the Cissokho griot family and grew up surrounded by the musical traditions of West Africa. A kora player since the age of 6, singer and songwriter, he builds his music on Mandinka heritage, blending it with jazz, classical music and flamenco from Spain, the country where he settled.

On stage, he presents songs from the album *Kairos* (2024), in which he addresses colonial legacies, forced emigration and the role of education in Africa's development. Throughout his career, he has already collaborated with artists from various genres and nationalities.
