Museu de Lisboa - Santo António

Located in the historic area of the city, next to the Church of Santo António and near the Cathedral, this branch of the Museu de Lisboa introduces the figure of the Saint, emphasizing his relationship with Lisbon, the city where he was born and lived until the age of 20. Opened on 18 July 2014, the Museu de Lisboa – Santo António is the result of the transformation of the former Museu Antoniano, opened to the public in June 1962, into a new exhibition space, enlarged and completely redesigned, where two types of buildings are combined – the original space, which was part of the Church of Santo António, and the new space, set within a typical Pombaline income building.
