O Amor é Fodido

"O Amor é Fodido" draws on Miguel Esteves Cardoso's book to build a show about love as a living, contradictory, and wearing experience. The play approaches a contemporary Romeo and Juliet, where the lovers delude themselves, resist, start over, and confront the hardest and most human side of love.

The dramaturgy combines humor and discomfort, proposing a look at the need to speak, hide, repeat, and unspool love until the point where intelligence falters and affective impulse prevails. On stage, João Garcia Miguel's creation seeks to dress these words anew, making them body, gesture, and theatrical presence.
