The World and Everything! Philosophers and Other Machines

“O Mundo e Tudo! Filósofos e Outras Máquinas” presents at Fórum da Maia the most extensive retrospective dedicated to António Cerveira Pinto, bringing together around one hundred works produced between 1979 and 2026. The exhibition is organized by the artist himself and includes an introductory text by Bernardo Pinto de Almeida.

Instead of following a chronological reading, the display is organized into thematic clusters that move across painting, language, philosophy, memory, perception and artificial intelligence. Among the groups presented are series such as *Regresso da pintura?*, *Frases*, *Qualia*, *Combate entre as metades esquerda e direita do meu cérebro* and *Rasura*, as well as projects on democracy, television, augmented cities and architecture. The whole culminates in two unpublished works: GAIA — Gerador de Arte e Inteligência Artificial — and the *Mosteiro das Proposições*, conceived as a space for the slow time of questions.

The opening includes the premiere of *Está tudo bem — Conversa entre António Cerveira Pinto e Leonel Moura sobre Arte e Máquinas que Aprendem (2026)*, a film directed by António Cerveira Pinto with cinematography, sound and editing by Igor Sterpin. Throughout the exhibition period, the artist will also continue the project on the Instagram account @omundoetudo, with the reel series *Um minuto por dia*.

Alongside the exhibition there will be a public programme with guided tours, a workshop dedicated to the relationship between clay, algorithm and art, a colloquium with Bernardo Pinto de Almeida and Leonel Moura, and the launch of the catalogue at the finissage. Admission is free.
