O Povo É Quem Mais Ordena

This virtual exhibition brings together sounds, photographs, videos and interviews to celebrate 50 years of culture in freedom. Across 20 sections, it traces workers’ struggles, the associational movement, women’s resistance, neorealism, murals, literature, music, the visual arts and anti-fascist resistance.

The itinerary includes an initial section on the importance of local government in the post-25 April period and the tile mural *A Metropolitana*, by Mário Linhares, a central section with photographs by Carlos Granja about 25 April 1974, and 18 thematic sections dedicated to the work carried out in the municipalities of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Promoted by the Lisbon Metropolitan Area with its 18 municipalities, the exhibition was created as part of the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974.
