After making his first three feature films with Madhouse, Satoshi Kon returns to collaborate with the studio, this time on his first and only television series. Over 13 episodes, the city of Musashino is terrorized by a mysterious boy on skates who attacks residents with a golden baseball bat. As two detectives investigate the attacks, the links between the victims become clear: people under intense pressure who are looking for a way to escape reality. Between mystery and the supernatural, *Paranoia Agent* paints a sharp portrait of anxiety and fear in contemporary society.
