Pedro Matias Equilíbrios

In *Equilíbrios*, Pedro Matias presents a contemporary circus solo centered on the discipline of balance itself as an object of research and expression. The creation begins with the rola-bola practice to explore, on stage, the question that guides the project: what is balance, after all?

The performance looks at balance as a negotiation of forces between extremes, always stable only circumstantially and crossed by tension. Through physical practice, the work seeks to understand this concept and recognize it in other contexts.

The creation and performance are by Pedro Matias, with direction by Giacomo Scalisi, sound composition by Rafael Maia, and costumes by Rita Olivença. It is part of Mostra Estufa 2026.
