about the event
Queer Lisboa – Queer International Film Festival marks 30 years with a special edition at Cinema São Jorge and Cinemateca Portuguesa, bringing together around a hundred films and several national and international guests.
The programme combines official competitions, family screenings and an extended retrospective of queer cinema classics, under the title “Resgatar Futuros: o cinema queer vê-se ao espelho”. Among the highlights are the special screenings of “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” and “Amarga Navidad”, as well as the comedy “Stop! That! Train!”, starring RuPaul and Drag Race participants.
In addition to the films, this edition also includes a series of parties in several emblematic spaces of Lisbon’s nightlife, reinforcing the festive and communal character of the festival, the oldest in the city of Lisbon.
