Regenera

«Regenera» is a new collaborative creation project designed for children and integrated into a four-year cycle, from 2026 to 2029, at Teatro Viriato. Starting from the artistic installation «O Teatro também é a nossa casa», the initiative deepens the link between artistic work and community through the writing of dramatic texts, original illustrations, performances and proposals for games and workshops for audiences aged 3 and up.

In the first phases of the project, between February and June 2026, the theatre will host three creation residencies: two for text and one for illustration, by Inês Barahona, José Maria Vieira Mendes and Madalena Matoso.
