On the centenary of Teatro Variedades, Cinemateca Portuguesa, Cinema São Jorge and Capitólio come together in a cycle that pays tribute to figures such as Beatriz Costa, Milú, Laura Alves, António Silva, Maria Matos, Hermínia Silva and Ribeirinho, among other names that naturally moved from the stage to the cinema.
The sessions present films resulting from the digitization and preservation work of Cinemateca Portuguesa, making it possible to revisit this heritage in renewed technical conditions and celebrate the continuity between theatre and cinema.
