SIDDHARTA | LISABOA HOUBRECHTS

*Siddhartha* is a creation by Lisaboa Houbrechts inspired by Hermann Hesse’s novel. The proposal brings together several languages on stage — theatre, classical singing, pop improvisation, Sufi songs and Indian dance — in a scenic device with a strong musical and performative dimension.

In this production by Toneelhuis Antwerp and KVS Brussels, the music of Caroline Shaw plays a central role. The protagonist is performed by Meskerem Mees, in a cast that also includes Shantala Shivalingappa, Claron McFadden, Oumar Dicko, Casper Clausen, Samuel Mariño and Zila Khan, among other names credited by the production.
