Supermayer

Supermayer is the meeting of Michael Mayer and Superpitcher, two names who helped define Kompakt. Mayer, cofounder of the label in 1998, built over decades a language associated with the Cologne sound, between minimalism, hypnosis and emotion. Superpitcher, who joined Kompakt the following year, brought a more melancholic and romantic register, with pop songs dressed in a club beat. The repertoire evokes references such as *Immer*, *Fabric 13*, *DJ-Kicks*, *Here Comes Love*, *Kilimanjaro* and the epic *Golden Ravedays*.
