TAMIKREST

Formed in 2006 by Ousmane Ag Mossa and Cheikh Ag Tiglia, musicians from Tinzawaten, on the border between Mali and Algeria, Tamikrest gives voice to the culture of the Tel Tamasheq and to their experiences of exile and resistance. On stage, the quartet — completed by Paul Salvagnac and Cédric "Momo" Maurel — presents "Assikel", the new album that accompanies the group’s journey. Between distorted guitars, voices, and traditional percussion, the concert lives on "assouf", that feeling of longing and melancholy that runs through their sound.
