Textile Talks

Textile Talks are part of Contextile 2026 and return in a two-day format for a set of talks, projects, and research around textile, art, and other disciplinary fields. Under the theme “By a Thread / Por um Fio”, the 2026 edition is organized into six subthemes that cross materiality and textile processes, the ecologies of care, the relationship between community and territory, the bodies and memories linked to textile heritage, criticism of fast fashion, and the search for regenerative futures.

Participation is free and open to all interested parties. The talks bring together Contextile 2026 partners and guests, as well as artists and speakers selected through an open call, in a program designed to connect reflection, artistic practice, and sustainability.
